Extremely loud noise can be damaging to your hearing. The level of loudness and length of time exposed could put one at risk, resulting in noise induced hearing loss. Being exposed to sounds louder then 85dB for long periods of time can lead to a permanent hearing loss, along with other symptoms such as ringing in your ears and vertigo.
A noise induced hearing loss can be prevented by wearing noise protection plugs at all times while exposed to noise. A regular hearing test to monitor any changes in your hearing is necessary.
